Wellington is pleased to announce the presentation of the “Trafalgar Award” to Mr. Titus Nelson, Application Engineer, USA Mid West. The award was made for Mr. Nelson’s outstanding customer service record in the commercial refrigeration segment and was presented to Mr. Nelson in Chicago by Wellington group chief executive, Ross Green, on April 8th . Background on the Trafalgar Award: Wellington is named for the Duke of Wellington, a key figure of the early nineteenth century. The Duke’s great victory at the Battle of Waterloo in 1814, lifted tyranny from Europe and enabled the industrial revolution that followed, leading to the society we have today. Wellington is bringing similar changes to the electric motor industry, which still today depends on motor designs that date from the late industrial revolution and the nineteenth century. The Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 was a crucial event some years before, setting the scene and enabling the military victories that followed. Hence the “Trafalgar Award” at Wellington recognizes service to the company that contributes to the highest degree to the company’s overall strategy.
