High energy costs, increasingly stringent environmental legislation, and consumers’ environmental awareness are driving the refrigeration market towards energy saving technology. For this reason, Wellington has created the ECR Series: motors and fans developed as energy saving replacements of shaded pole motors used in supermarket commercial refrigerators and freezers, beverage merchandisers and refrigerated vending machines.

DROP IN REPLACEMENT OF SHADED POLE MOTORS

ECR motors use the same mounting systems as shaded pole motors and are provided with a plug in connection for easy, fast replacement. They are also available with the same fan blade sizes and accessories as traditional shaded pole motors. ECR fans are available in all standard sizes and pitches.

ECR motors are electronically commutated brushless DC motors. Top quality electronics and design make ECR motors extremely efficient, quiet and reliable. Long design life and reliability are the result of Wellington’s moisture proof patented design and the use of ball bearings; and allow significant maintenance and cost savings.
