Sustainability

Saving Generation for the Next Generation

For Wellington, sustainability is about delivering business practices and products that benefit all our stakeholders and preserve the environment for future generations.

In order to reduce its environmental impact, Wellington established these goals:

  • We will comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements and standard practices
  • We will develop and market products that use natural resources efficiently
  • We will establish methods to monitor our environmental performance and use them to assess opportunities for improvement
  • We will promote communication with our customers, suppliers, employees, governments, business association and other interested stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions and reduce our environmental impact
  • We will periodically review these environmental goals and update them as needed

For Wellington, like for many of our stakeholders, sustainability brings challenges, but is mainly a great opportunity. Energy saving technologies and renewable energy production have become the focus of consumers, governments, pressure groups, and investors worldwide and, with our technology and experience in energy saving, we are perfectly positioned to grow with the global shift towards sustainability, and contribute to it. We further view sustainability considerations as an opportunity to enhance our product manufacturing and operations, and gain valuable new tools. Environmental responsibility for us is not only the “right thing to do”, but is a real opportunity, that makes financial sense.

In order to reduce our environmental impact, we are currently carrying out Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) analyses that will contribute to improving our environmental performance in the way we design and manufacture products, and we carry out operations. Wellington has also initiated the process to become carbon neutral.
